2008 Ohio State Grand Prix - Men’s 100 Free Finals

Auburn’s Cesar Cielo held off a late charge by Michael Phelps to win the 100 Free title in 48.34. Phelps’ time of 48.41 was not only a personal best, but also the 3rd fastest 100 Free time by an American ever. Fred Bousquet clocked a 49.38 to claim 3rd. After his 1500 Free final, Peter Vanderkaay returned to the pool for this final and finished 5th in 50.33.
