Olympic Trials - Men’s 100 Back Prelims
Randall Bal bested all qualifiers in the men’s 100 Back morning prelims with a time of 53.28 that challenged the World Record of Aaron Peirsol set last year. The second qualifier for semifinals was Matt Grevers in 53.69, who just touched out Ryan Lochte (53.96) in the 10th heat.
In the final heat, Aaron Peirsol was beaten to the wall by David Plummer, who posted a 54 flat. Aaron touched in 54.14.
Others continuing their quest for an Olympic team spot tonight include Ben Hesen (53.88), Pat Schirk (54.52), and David Cromwell (54.57).
