Olympic Trials - Women’s 100 Back Prelims

Felicia Lee swam her 100 Back prelim in the 11th heat where she turned in a 1:04.34 performance, but what disqualified for one of her turns. In the very next heat, Megan Romano touched in 1:03.60.

In the 15th heat Hayley McGregory shattered Natalie Coughlin’s World Record with a 59.15 effort. Natalie in the following heat and broke it right back! Her time was 59.03.

Naturally, McGregory and Coughlin lead all qualifiers into tonight’s semifinals. Margaret Hoelzer (1:00.86), Lauren Rogers (1:01.01), Elizabeth Beisel (1:01.08), and Liz Pelton (1:01.34) make up the top times in the semifinal field.
