Olympic Trials - Men’s 200 IM Semifinals
World Record Holder Michael Phelps cruised to a 1:58.05 win in the 1st men’s 200 IM semifinal. His time was the second fastest of the night.
Ryan Lochte won the second semi with a 1:57.57 performance. He leads all qualifiers into the final.
Eric Shanteau, in his second event of the night, touched in 2:00.74 to qualify 3rd. Fourth place went to Alex Vanderkaay after a lifetime best 2:00.81.
Also racing tomorrow night are TP Patrick (2:00.87), Tim Liebhold (2:00.93), Robert Margalis (2:01.16), and Dan Madwed (2:01.39).
