Santa Clara 2009 – Men’s 50 Free Prelims

Auburn’s George Bovell swam the fastest time of the prelims with a 22.28 sprint. The ‘A’ final’s second seed with be Canada’s Brent Hayden, who finished in 22.41 while Nathan Adrian grabbed the 3rd seed in 22.55. Matt Grevers qualified 4th with a 22.71 that was just slightly faster than Dave Walters’ 22.78. Will Copeland (22.85), Adam Brown (22.90), and Dom Meichtry 23.00 will also be in the fold. A swim-off is required to determine the final participant in the championship final.
